Project Description

Mikropi is an e-learning application that allows students to observe microscopical sections online. In collaboration between the Institute of clinical pathology at the university hospital Freiburg (headed by Dr. Gian Kayser and Dr. Maximilian Seidl) and a project team of five students from Hochschule Furtwangen University (under direction of Prof. Dr. Ullrich Dittler) mikropi was designed and implemented in summer semester 2014 and winter semester 2014/2015.

Mikropi was awarded with the intermedia-globe award in silver by the selection committee of the World Media Festival 2015.

Implementation: HTML5, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, Wordpress, OpenSeadragon
